Sheba was my first effort at drawing a Rottweiler. She also represented my first foray into a different dog breed in colored pencil on canvas. The only dogs I had previously drawn in this medium had all been Old English Sheepdogs. I was tentative at first of trying a different breed as I was concerned that I might not be able to capture its essence. The shape of the face was critical to this effort. Both the client and I were very happy with the results.
